I’ve got a new audition coming. I’ll be auditioning for a role in Verdi’s La Traviata. I will be hoping for the role of Doctor Grenville. My long-time followers (hah!) will remember that this is the role that allowed me to leave my day job in the flooring department of Lowe’s. I needed an excuse, and an opportunity presented itself.
And here I am, years later, going after the same role, probably for the same pay. Have I progressed? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Eh, I dunno.
The audition has been postponed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We’ll see what happens next.
