Dramatic Bass

We have finally finished moving. That does not mean we have finished unpacking. Progress continues on that front. But the good news is that I am still here and still kicking.

For my “Day Job,” I will be managing the H&R Block at Kamm’s corners in Cleveland. It’s a smaller office than I had this past tax season, but I will be less of an administrator and I will be much more “in the mix,” as I assume the kids say today. I was hoping to get to Enrolled Agent1 status, but it was just too much studying. I’m already teaching 2 sixty-hour training courses and taking about 70 hours of Continuing Education.2 I have enough on my plate.

On the singing front, I just sent in my contract for Great Lakes Light Opera’s The Gift of the Magi. It’s a small role, but it keeps me in the music biz.

And of course, as I hope to do every year, I will still play Balthazar in Resonance Works | Pittsburgh’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. I always get to reunite with a great group of artists and meet a bunch of new ones as well.

I must say, all in all, I like what I do.

  1. Enrolled Agent

  2. Continuing Education means unpaid training.
